Our handcrafted and Fair Trade Certified Leaf Lamps are newly recognized as a genre of lighting unto their own. They are art for your home or office, providing a warm, soothing glow while you support Fair Trade practices globally.

The luminescent shades are made from hand-rubbed leaves, colored with organic dyes wrapped around a sturdy vellum plastic column. The bases are hand-crafted from metal, natural bamboo, fruit fibers and vines. Most can accomodate 100-watt equivalent CFL lightbulbs. Leaf lamps are available in tabletop and floor styles ranging in height from 9 inches to 6 feet. Prices start at only $59 with a vast selection of lamps under $125 and our best selling 6-foot Leaf Lamp retails at only $425. In the Philippines, the Leaf Lamp company pays their workers fair wage and also provides room and board to the artisans. The unique Leaf Lamp shades are made from either Banyan/Bodhi, Cacao/Cocoa and Butterfly/Alibangbang leaves using a “fossilization” process. Once dried and with only the leaf’s skeleton remaining, those leaves that receive dye are stained in organic dyes. Natural leaves absorb dye differently, so that each lamp has leaves with different hues and shades, sometimes even within the same leaf. Each lamp is one-of-a-kind.
