We just bought some chairs for our dining room table and a coffee table as well. It's so hard to find such amazing craftsmanship these days. This company truly takes it to the next level. The chairs feel like they have a cushion on them when you sit...and the coffee table is just magnificent... I could look at for hours, its just so beautiful! Also I should mention that they were super nice and super accommodating. A pleasure to work with! Can't wait to get some more things from them!

I had a bench made a couple of months ago and WOW! I really came to the right place. Everybody on staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the craft. I was truly blown away. My complex inlay requests look even better than I imagined. This is now my 3rd product from them and I will be back for more. Thanks a million guys!!

We found BFA by chance during a trip to Boulder and we are so glad that we did. We wanted to replace our "family dinner table" that we had used for the past 32 years. Needless to say, that table had many memories associated with it. Hannah was so kind and generous with her time and talents as she tweaked one of their designs to meet our needs. We made more than one trip to the store, with kitchen chair in tow, to make sure that the base we selected would meet our needs. She helped us select the wood that would stand up to the wear and tear of a large family with small grandchildren. She gave advice on the size that we needed that would still accommodate our kids and yet, not overwhelm our space. Throughout the process of the table actually being made, Hannah kept in contact via email. Our table was finished sooner than anticipated and delivered to our door in Fort Collins without a problem. We are so pleased with our new table and anticipate making many happy memories around it in the years to come. In the future, we plan to purchase new chairs to match the table and a rocking chair for all those grandbabies. Not only are the BFA crew talented designers and craftsmen; they are genuinely kind and caring people. We look forward to working with them again.

We worked with BFA to custom design and build three Craftsman/modern walnut slab tables for our new home (dining, kitchen, study). The tables are in different rooms of our house but because of matching design and dimensions can be brought together to create seating for over 20 when large social events and family gatherings take place. The tables, chairs and several other pieces we ordered with matching design beautifully fill and complement our home. As very satisfied customers we returned four years later to order additional pieces that match what we've already enjoyed for years. The order-to-delivery time can be lengthy but it is well worth the wait and the customer service is excellent.

My wife and I discovered Boulder Furniture Arts while on vacation, visiting our son, who was working in the Denver area for the past year. I have wanted a live edge coffee table for quite some time for our family room, and when we saw BFA, met Hannah and learned their impressive background and capabilities, we knew they were the right team for the job! The incredible, unique, large, live edge Big Leaf Maple coffee table with burls all around it, arrived last week and it is a sight to behold! It is a show stopper and the focal point of our family room. BFA took the raw slab and turned it into a work of art. We could not be happier with this incredible heirloom piece and would highly recommend BFA to anyone looking for true craftsmen. Being from out of town, did not cause us any concern either. Since we live in the Chicago area, we were not able to visit the production of the table. We worked closely with Hannah and Lee, who were gracious in their constant phone and email communications and photos, keeping us in the loop on epoxy fills, sanding, and ultimately working the slab to enhance what Mother Nature gave this wood slab. Only true artisans can do what they do! They also let us come up with design suggestions for the metal base, taking our ideas and enhancing them with their many years of experience. I am someone who never writes reviews, but working with Lee, Hannah and their whole team made me change my mind. We would absolutely use them again for any handcrafted wood furniture and highly recommend them to all who are looking for real craftsmen, who care not only about their creations, but are a joy to work with no matter where you live.

My wife and I have been customers of BFA for a while. Over the years, we have purchased several pieces from them which were all custon-designed to the most precise detail, expertly built, and cleanly and safely delivered. We had a small issue with a drawer that (after a owning it for a year) started to BARELY rub against a dresser frame when it closed. They came to the house to assess it right away, decided to bring the drawer back to the shop, and corrected the issue. Additionally, they have all of the information you'll need to know how to take care of your furniture so that it will last a lifetime. For the highest quality wood furniture, BFA can't be beat.

Boulder Furniture Arts has been a pleasure to work with. But most important, the furniture is first class. I was looking for a bed, built with cherry, to fit in and complement my Thomas Moser furniture. BFA gave me exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend using BFA for any and all furniture needs.

We had a beautiful custom black walnut table made for us and had trouble finding chairs to go with it. Our friends bought their dining room set from Boulder Furniture Arts and recommended them. Having seen our friends’ furniture, we knew the quality we were getting. We live in Utah so we placed the order by phone and kept in touch by email. They were always very pleasant and helpful. The chairs match the table perfectly and we even had barstools made to complete the set. It took several months to get them since they were made to order, but they were well worth the wait! They are beautiful!

Lee and the team at Boulder Furniture Arts are great! They carefully worked with us to design the exact table that we wanted. They were easy going and fun to work with. The table was delivered in the timeframe promised and it exceeds our expectations! They are true craftsmen. It's great to know that they're local and here to help with any future care questions/concerns. Couldn't recommend them more highly!

We have nothing but positive things to say about all the folks we've worked with at Boulder Furniture Arts. We are the proud owners of four beautiful pieces from them and have our eyes on a fifth and sixth! The quality of their work, attention to detail and customer service are second to none. We want to you thank you and your team so much for your beautiful art work! Everything about what you created makes us smile on a daily basis. I have to say when Derrick and Chris carried the table in through the front door, it felt like a new member of our family had arrived. We were absolutely speechless as they assembled it and placed it in the final location. It has only gotten better over the last week. We eat together every night at the table and sit on the bar stools constantly. Our son gets Nutella all over them and they clean up beautifully (by your guidelines, of course ;-) ). And every time we clean up that Nutella, we find some new beautiful aspect in the woodwork. In addition to your beautiful creations, it was an incredible experience working with everyone on your team. Thank you Hannah and Lee for designing the perfect pieces for our family. We gave you absolutely nothing to work with from a space perspective (since it didn't exist...), but you absolutely nailed a design to match our space and our family's needs! Derrick and Chris were incredible in the delivery! It was great getting to know them a little and we now have some personal connections to the pieces. Lastly, I want to say your creations have truly made our house feel like a home. Everyday we take a brief moment and think about all of the hard work that went into creating these pieces and how nature provides such breathtaking beauty. We know these items will create so many lasting memories in our home and with our family. We absolutely loved working with Boulder Furniture Arts! They sourced a live edge table top slab for us and then sanded and finished it for use as a tabletop. Lee was the person we met with and he is the nicest guy ever. My daughter and I loved chatting with Lee and exploring the items in the shop as well as seeing the whole team hard at work in the workshop. The communication was great as we discussed options and pricing. This is a talented group of people that love what they do and it shows! We are very excited to add a base to our tabletop and have this unique usable art in our living room! Would highly recommend BFA!

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! They let me take a little chunk of beautiful wood for an art project, and were super supportive. Also their furniture is absolutely stunning and I can't wait to go back and acquire some pieces once my husband and I have a house!! Thank you !!

Amazing work and very friendly the whole process. Hannah came to our house to help design a bench, bed & dresser set, and a full dining room set. The finished products are all beautiful and well made. I have no doubt they will last forever. Since everything is custom made it takes a while but the wait is worth it!

If you are looking for exquisitely finished natural slab wood furniture this is the place to go!!! The design fundamentals used let the beauty of the wood speak for itself through absolute perfection in finishing techniques. I grew up seeing original George Nakashima furniture and the find woodworkers at Boulder Furniture Arts produce pieces reminiscent of his work with some of their own unique and tasteful touches. The form, finish and functionality of pieces are top notch. They offer any level of customization done with only high quality in mind and the slab room is must see. It is the only place west of the Mississippi that I have seen such great natural wood specimens. If you love and appreciate wood at its finest then go check this out

We needed a nice piece of custom furniture made to be used as an audio rack. It had to be nice looking and built to hold several hundred pounds of components. Stopping into Boulder Furniture Arts was definitely the right choice. Every piece in the store was beautifully crafted in classic and contemporary styles, made of fine woods in unique designs. Hannah was amazing and walked us through every step, showing us scale 3D renderings on the computer that made it so easy to decide what we liked and what we didn't. We went home and double checked measurements and called back to change almost everything, including the design for the legs. No problem. It was delivered exactly when we were told it would be and we were completely happy with the end result. It is beautiful and absolutely perfect for what we needed. The people were a pleasure to work with, very accommodating and dedicated to quality woodworking. They clearly take great pride in their craft with a goal of pleasing their customers. We absolutely love the dining room table we had custom made at Boulder Furniture Arts. The table has a modern style, but is beautifully custom made with a warm cherry wood. Plus, we love knowing that it was handmade in Boulder, not somewhere in a factory in China. We highly, highly recommend Boulder Furniture Arts.

Beautiful furniture and unique art pieces, including naturally carved pieces from the 2013 flood, which I thought was creative and one of a kind. Very friendly staff, who are also part of the design component. I enjoy stopping in if even to see what's new there.

We have purchased a bedroom set and Kitchen Table over the years. Lee and Hannah went through all the options, kept us up to date on the building including customizing the chairs. We have been thrilled with all our purchases. Everything has held up beautifully. *Update January 2018 Our bedroom set is now over 5 years old (Fall 2012), and our kitchen set is 3 years old. Everything looks almost new other than gaining some patina. The chairs have also continued to be rock solid.

Over the past 7 years Lee, Hannah, Jeff and John have been making custom pieces for our homes. We now have many one of a kind designs that fit perfectly into particular spaces. Every time we move, purchase a house, or rethink a house we live in, they are my go to team. I have cherry and walnut, both with oil finishes that are a breeze to keep looking great. There was no option but to go to BFA whenever I needed a piece, as everything at the local "furniture stores" were junky, imported and not built to last. Plus, I got the exact size, shape and material. Lee has always been there for me if I needed to adjust a height of one of his pieces, or add a few shelves. They are even there to repair pieces that they didn't make! I love the brainstorming and hashing out of ideas, and then, weeks later, the arrival! These folks take wood seriously, so drying and aging are as important as construction and design, hence, no cracking in our dry Colorado climate. Can't say enough good about this team. Check them out. They are always there for a wood talk!
